DVCC Receives LEED® Certifications
Ada, Michigan – A Dan Vos Construction Co., Inc, employee has received LEED™ accredited professional certification.
Bill Van Skiver, Facilities Service Manager recently completed the requirements for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification through the U.S. Green Building Council. The professional accreditation program, which was launched in 2001, distinguishes building professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green design and building practices and principles.
In addition, Dan Vos Construction Company completed it’s first building with a LEED® certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The Baxter Community Center worked with Dan Vos Construction Company and architects from Schemata Incorporated to complete a new 8,000 square foot Addition and over 8,000 square feet of building renovations, which followed the LEED® principles.
DVCC, a leading design-build contractor in West Michigan, now has six LEED® accredited professionals on its staff. Since the inception of the program, more than 40,000 construction professionals have been certified nationwide.
